Lulyboo Baby Lounge to Go Review- Why You Need It Now

Babies only have a couple of different modes the first few months of their life – eat, sleep, poo. That’s it.

The Lulyboo Baby Lounge to Go is there for at least of those modes. With your infant sleeping so much of the day, you will need a versatile place to lay baby down. Babies will love the comfort and the activity bar and mom will love the portability and ease of use.

The Lulyboo Baby Lounger is a great choice for moms who stay home and moms on the go. Take the lounger into the living room to take up less space than a playpen, then you can take your infant into the bathroom while you shower. Use the lounger as a changing station anywhere. Or, use the lounger as a bassinet so baby can sleep even at a function. Finally, the lounger folds up into a backpack for easy portability.

Features

This tiny basket is simple and useful. Isn’t that how life should be? This lounger must have been created by a mom as the basket is full of purpose and functionality. Check out all the features below.

The Bassinet Turns into a Backpack

While sturdy, the bassinet is soft and squishy which is what allows the bassinet to turn into a backpack. Cleverly placed clips fold the bassinet into a compact shape. Next, the bassinet has soft shoulder straps to carry the bassinet on your back. A quick warning. This bassinet is not meant to be worn with the baby in the bassinet.

With a bassinet that travels on your back, you can take a bed for your baby anywhere you go. Take the lounger to the beach, to functions, or even to church so your baby will have a place to sleep no matter where life takes you. Lastly, the backpack mode makes for easy storage as well as easy travel. Tuck the bassinet in the folded mode away in a closet when your baby outgrows it and save it for your next baby.

Will My Baby Enjoy Sleeping in the Lounger?

Your baby will love the bassinet. First, the bassinet is easy to see over even for tiny infants. Many babies are scared when they cannot see mom. Second, the bassinet allows the baby to stay close to the noise and bustle of daily life, which helps the baby to feel safe and secure. Third, the side cushions are soft and protective but close to baby to continue the feeling of safety and security. Fourth, the bottom is a soft layer of cotton to keep baby cozy.

One of the few problems with the bassinet is the bottom layer is not very thick and many babies may be unhappy with the transition for a plush crib to this bassinet. However, the thinner mattress is what allows the lounger to fold up and remain lightweight and portable. Another point is most infant furniture is not overly padded for the babies including swings, bouncy seats, and even playpens. In conclusion, babies just do not need as much padding as adults do to be comfortable and you would not want to lose the travel or storage aspects of the bassinet.

Use as a Changer

All moms and dads have faced a situation where changing a babies diaper was not only uncomfortable but downright disgusting. The location for a diaper change should not be more disgusting than the contents of the diaper! With the Lulyboo Lounger, you have a clean place to change your baby no matter where you are. (Avoid those bathroom changing tables that harbor germs!) Going to a tailgate party? Not only will you have a place for your infant to sleep but a clean place to change his diaper. On the other hand, it may be a bit gross to change babies diaper where you want him to sleep. Pack a cloth diaper or receiving blanket to lay down. Also, the bassinet is great for when you are at a friends house – a friend with no babies – to change and let baby nap without packing half your house!

Great for Sunny Outside Days

Traveling or spending time outside can be difficult with a baby. This lounger allows you to go outside with a safe space for your infant. Whether you are camping in a tent or spending an afternoon in the park or at the beach, your baby can snooze the day away in style. Another great advantage of this bassinet is a canopy to protect your baby’s delicate eyes from the harsh rays of the sun. If your little one wakes up, he can play with the toys attached to the canopy. Don’t worry, the toys are removable so you can wash them. Also, the toys are great for a little sensory stimulation. The canopy can also adjust to three different positions. Lastly, the canopy is removable too if your baby prefers to see the full scope of their space.

The Bassinet Serves as a Co-Sleeper

The first couple of months with a newborn include a lack of sleep and mamas will want to do anything they can to catch a few extra z’s. Instead of purchasing a separate co-sleeper, you can use this bassinet as a co-sleeper. Even better, you can take the bassinet with you if you need to stay in a hotel or at a family members house and use it for naps too! The versatile uses of this bassinet are what makes this item a must-have for new parents. However, as with all co-sleepers you need to keep your baby safe. If you are a hard sleeper or tend to move a lot in your sleep you may want to find another option such as a bedside bassinet or one with sturdier sides as this bassinet has foldable plush sides.

How Long Can I Use This Bassinet?

Another issue with this bassinet is it does not have a harness for your baby. As soon as your baby is turning or rolling of his own accord you will need to store this bassinet. However, the intent for the lounger is for smaller babies despite the packaging claiming it is good for babies up to 12 months or 15 lbs. Most babies will be finished with the bassinet by about four months and sooner for some precocious babies determined to move.

If you have the rare baby who can already understand and follow instructions, you may get a couple months more out of the bassinets for nap time but most moms are not that lucky. Finally, while the bassinet only serves for a short time, that time with the bassinet will be extremely useful for the infant stage and well worth the money. Put the bassinet on your registry and let grandma or great aunt Ethel foot the bill.

Design and Colors

The design is simple and unobtrusive. You have your choice of three colors – beige, blue dots, or pink dots. The brown is a more neutral color if you are looking to gift someone or just prefer a more gender neutral color that will hopefully go with your decor better than baby shades of pink and blue. The brand offers a few other bassinets in grey colors here and here. If you would prefer one with handles on the side try this one.

The price is reasonable but could be a little better priced considering the short amount of time you will be using this item. Also, you cannot purchase any accessories but nor do you need any. The bassinet has pockets on either side for storage. As previously stated, a receiving blanket would be a welcome addition for more sanitary diaper changes. Otherwise, everything you need is included except the baby and the diaper bag.

Final Thoughts

The Lulyboo Baby Lounge To Go has a few problems.

Overall, the item is a bit expensive for the quality and the amount of time the item will be used. The amount of usefulness for the time the item will serve is paramount though and the reason you should consider buying this travel bassinet. Babies do not always like the other items such as a swing, or a car seat, or a bouncy seat. A playpen may seem too big and overwhelming to a small baby but this bassinet may be the right size and snugness to keep your baby comfortable. Overall, the benefits outweigh the minor issues.

If you are in the market for a baby travel bassinet for camping, trips to the beach or just to have baby close buy when you are showering, this is the bassinet of choice. Lulyboo puts out quality baby products to make life easier for parents and this bassinet is no exception. In conclusion, you can fold this item up and store it for use with another child or give to a friend or family member to save them a little money. This is a great baby shower gift if you have no idea what to get!
