Next, Chicco does a wonderful job adding toddler trays to at least half of their strollers. Mind you, these trays don’t mean your baby won’t throw stuff on the floor where it can then roll down a hill. But they do offer the trays for the great concept of keeping things neat and tidy even if the reality doesn’t hold up.
Other great features of Chicco strollers include the fact that more than half of them work with the Chicco brand car seats. Even better, the strollers all come with padded, adjustable five-point harnesses ready to keep your baby tucked in securely.
Finally, Chicco does amazing on the smaller features like leg rest, adjustable handlebars, cushioned seats, and breathable fabric. They also do a great job with the frames and structure. When you buy Chicco, you definitely get a quality product.
Disadvantages of Chicco Strollers
Chicco brand does come with a few disadvantages. First, only their jogging strollers come with decent suspension. If you want a fabulous stroller ready to go over every bump without waking up your baby, then you want an all-terrain stroller. Try the Uppababy Vista V2 if you want a non-jogger stroller with incredible suspension. It blows the Chicco strollers out of the water but also costs double the price. Whether it’s worth it is up to you.
Another disadvantage of the brand is only the jogging strollers have peek-a-boo windows. Veteran moms know the drill when the baby is sleeping: if you accidentally make eye contact, they will wake back up completely, and there goes your quiet walk through Target. Peek-a-boo windows should exist on every stroller everywhere without accepting so moms can peek on their precious bundle without waking them up.
Furthermore, Uppababy wins in another category too. Even though Chicco does better than most strollers for sunshade from canopies, The Vista V2 and the Cruz V2 both go farther. Sun, rain, snow, sleet, and even wind can attack your baby when in the stroller. The better the canopy, the better protection your baby gets, and Chicco could definitely improve their canopies.
