The Best Mom YouTube Channels

I’m a huge fan of moms who keep it real. As moms, it’s fun to relate to other moms. We want to hear from other mothers who are going through the same hardships (and fun times) and us. If you search YouTube for the best mom channels, you will be inundated with a lengthy list of moms to watch. While they probably each have something to offer, I did the work and found the 12 best mom YouTube Channels for your viewing pleasure.

The 13 Best Mom YouTube Channels

Experienced Mommy

Did you know we had our own Mom YouTube Channel? We sure do! Our channel features mom advice, pregnancy must-haves, product reviews, and more. Depending on what video you watch, you’ll either get some handy mom advice from either Becky, a mom of 3, or Emily, a mom of 2 (with one on the way).

If you’re looking for reviews on baby products, Experienced Mommy breaks down the details of products such as the Babysense 720P HD Baby Monitor, Graco Modes Next Travel System & Stroller, and the Evenflo Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump.

If you’re pregnant or enjoy pregnancy stories, you’ll love the slew of pregnancy videos from “The Pregnancy Diaries” to “Best Labor and Delivery Tips” and of course, my favorite – “How to Make Perfect Pregnancy Snacks.”

For moms who love real talk, check out the “Mom to Mom Advice (Seriously Real Talk)” playlist. You’ll enjoy mom hacks, parenting tips, and crazy videos like “How Could They Get MY Baby’s Gender Wrong?” These things really happen!

WhatsUp Moms

I LOVE the WhatsUp Moms YouTube Channel. I thoroughly enjoy their videos and pretty much roll over with laughter every time I press play. They first launched onto the tiny screen nearly 10 years ago and have been building followers ever since.

Aside from their humor, they also show some pretty awesome mom hacks to make your life easier. Some of my favorite hacks include getting ready for back to school, nailing down a bedtime routine, and taking care of your little ones when they aren’t feeling their best.

In addition, they share tips that have helped them as both stay-at-home and working moms. They get it! There’s no question why they have over 3 million subscribers on YouTube with over 6o million views per month. That’s right. I said per month

Finally, you’ll gain some great insight from these real moms about beauty, family recipes, how to stay on a budget, how to keep your kids active, and much more. Clearly, you cannot miss the WhatsUp Moms channel! So, click that little button that says subscribe, and you won’t be sorry.

CandidMommy

From what to buy at Costco to what to send in your child’s school lunch, the CandidMommy channel has it all. A single mother to two boys, Jeni shares everything she knows about fitness, food, nature, and organization. With just under 200,000 subscribers, CandidMommy aims at helping make your life simpler.

I, personally, struggle with what to send in my kids’ school lunches. Shockingly, they get quite bored with PB&J every day. Crazy, right? CandidMommy can help you get a little more creative when it comes to putting school lunches together. This includes things they will actually enjoy!

Finally, she doesn’t shy away from mentioning how she left an abusive relationship. It’s raw and real, but she’s hoping to inspire others who have or are going through something similar.

FunCheapOrFree

As moms, there isn’t anything much better than getting a good deal on something. Whether it’s incredibly reduced-cost or completely free, there is something about being frugal. The FunCheapOrFree YouTube channel from Jordan Page introduces you to a fun way to be frugal

Being frugal doesn’t necessarily mean you need to pinch pennies and watch every dollar you spend. In fact, budgeting for your family can mean more money in the long run. Jordan introduces you to ways to have a frugal lifestyle, all while enjoying the nice parts of life.

There’s a reason why the YouTube channel has nearly one million subscribers. People want to know how they can live happily without counting every cent they spend. She also includes some hacks to make your life easier. Yes, please!

MOMables

If you are looking for cleaner ways to eat, the MOMables channel is for you. Laura Fuentes breaks down the best clean foods to serve to your whole family, kids included! While it’s easy enough to read a recipe online, I appreciate being able to watch a video detailing exactly how the recipe should go. I’m not the best cook, after all.

What I like about the MOMables channel is she provides recipes for everyone, including those with allergies. Sometimes it can be hard to find the right food choices if your child can’t have gluten or another common allergy. Laura Fuentes gives plenty of options if you can’t just eat anything off the table. She takes some of your favorite recipes and adds her healthy twist to them.

Finally, she tends to put out new videos each Friday, so be sure to check it out before the weekend so you can prep for the next week. Meal prep goes a long way, especially if you are cooking for your whole family.

Story of This Life

If you are looking for a channel with parents who keep it real, check out Story of This Life. They are real-life parents who are trying to see the humor in things. Their lighthearted humor shines through their videos about children, pets, and everything in between.

While they enjoy humor, not every video provides laughs. In a good way, of course. Instead, there are sweet videos thanking NICU nurses and discussing life’s biggest milestones. If you haven’t found a YouTube Channel you relate to, you can probably stop searching now.

They are an adorable couple who don’t hide the dirty parts of parenting. They show how real and chaotic life can be with little kids and overly tired parents. However, they also embrace how beautiful life is with children. It’s a wonderful mix of exactly what parenting is all about.

The Parenting Junkie

Avital is a mom of five who is out to help other moms when it comes to taking care of their kids, their house, and themselves. If you are looking for ways to declutter and revamp up your space, check out one of the many videos Avital posts about helping your home become better organized

In addition, she emphasizes self-care and the importance of what to do if you are feeling depressed or suffer from “mom guilt.” It’s so easy as a mother to forget about taking care of yourself, and I love when other moms stand up and make a point to say something about it.

She is also an advocate for peaceful parenting and provides insight into ditching the yelling and better dealing with stressful situations. Parenting isn’t easy, and she’s there to remind you of that. If you feel a little distant, we have a great article on how to make your child feel loved and valued

This Gathered Nest

Angela discusses her family of 10 (yep, TEN!) in her YouTube channel, This Gathered Nest. She discusses everything from building a barn to house hunting and raising her 8 children with her high school sweetheart. She has several videos showing her house-hunting process, and we can all relate to the stress that it brings.

If you can’t get enough of her YouTube channel, you’re in luck. Angela published a book titled Love Without Borders: How Bold Faith Opens the Door to Embracing the Unexpected. It goes through her life with a big family, including several adoptions and multiple pregnancies, all while embracing her strong faith. It’s a lovely book about a beautiful family.

I really find Angela and her family so utterly sweet and kind of wish I knew them. She is a kind person who shows her love and devotion for her family and faith, and I find that beautiful.

She’s in Her Apron

She’s in Her Apron follows Kimmy as she shows her best ways to make life easier, including freezing meals ahead of time, her best slow cooker recipes, and how to organize your home better. In addition, she has some great sheet pan recipes to make dinner time a breeze. Sign me up!

I have always found that if I prep dinner ahead of time, evenings go so much better. Kimmy has a wide variety of ideas when it comes to meal prep. While she has plenty of crockpot recipes, she also has some great suggestions on stocking your freezer for the week. I definitely took note of these because dinner is sometimes really hard to get on the table each night with all the hustle and bustle of my three kids.

Finally, Kimmy has some great tips on cleaning your house with some helpful hacks to make life a bit easier. Of course, you won’t be disappointed with any of the videos on her site. In fact, you likely will wonder why you didn’t discover her sooner.

Fitness Blender

It’s not always easy getting workouts in when you are a mom. There isn’t much me-time left between carpooling kids to school and sports and then cooking dinner for the whole family. At the same time, it is important to take care of your own health; otherwise, you won’t be able to take care of your family. The Fitness Blender YouTube channel allows you to work out in the comfort of your own home.

The channel has over 200 FREE full-length workouts available at the click of a button. It’s a husband and wife team, which I love. I always think it’s great when spouses or families work out together. It sets such a good example for the kids. Also, there’s no reason why you can’t have your kids join in on the fun.

Workouts vary from cardio, strength training, stretching, yoga, and much more. While some of the exercises require weights, there are plenty where no equipment is required. There’s no question why they are pushing 7 million subscribers on YouTube.

Do It On A Dime

I think most moms can agree that if we can get a good deal on something, sign us up! The Do It On A Dime channel offers tips and hacks on living frugally while enjoying a beautiful life. Kathryn, your host, has many videos on amazing ideas with items bought at Dollar Tree. It seriously makes me want to run out right now and buy everything she shows off in her videos.

In addition to her helpful hints for staying within budget, she also shows off her amazing organization skills. From re-doing your laundry room to creating a mudroom, you’ll likely want to renovate your home completely.

Finally, if you shop at Costco, she has some major secrets up her sleeve for you. It’s all about finding the right deals. I really want to follow a day in her life to see exactly how she gets it done.

Large Family Table

Jamerrill Stewart is no rookie at parenting. The mom of 9 shares the joys of homeschooling her children for over 16 years. More kids than ever are learning at home, so I find her information very relatable right now. In addition, with a large family, you would think it meant extra expenses. But, instead, Jamerrill shares how her stay-at-home business helps support the family of 11.

She’s a big fan of planning meals ahead of time, including freezer meals, slow cooker recipes, and using her Instant Pot. You don’t have to have a large family to enjoy the insight she has to offer. It’s easy to scale down the recipes she provides to fit the needs of your own tribe.

Finally, I love how much she shows off how important family is to her. Between her husband of over 20 years and her sweet children, this YouTuber mom has a lot to share with everyone.

Daily Davidsons

This family of five is just too sweet. The Davidsons have been on YouTube since 2009! There’s no wonder they have a faithful following who love to see what they are up to each week. The couple has three little boys, so you know things aren’t too calm around their house daily.

What I love about the Davidsons is they are just showing what everyday life is like for them. From being proud of their kids to pulling pranks on each other, they are just a kind family who likes to have fun. While they may not post recipes like some of the other channels listed in the article, it’s fun to watch them having a good time

As a fellow mom of three, I love how real the Davidsons are and that they don’t try to hide anything. It really is a daily glimpse of a wonderful family.

Tips for Starting Your Own YouTube Channel

Have you gone through the list of the best mom YouTube channels and now feel inspired to start your own? Clearly, you aren’t alone. While it may seem tough to rack a substantial amount of followers, there are a few tips to keep in mind to help you become successful.

Find Your Niche

This one seems simple enough, right? Find what you are good at? Well, it’s a little deeper than that. Let’s say you enjoy cooking and want to have a channel all about your favorite recipes. Then, you have to think about what part of it would make it interesting enough to watch. Why should people tune in?

Perhaps you can discuss how to cook for the whole family without any complaints from the little ones. Or how to cook when there are allergies in the house. You have to have a bit of a specialty, so people stop at your name when scrolling through on YouTube.

Remember to stay true to your heart and not pretend to be someone you aren’t. While some people may like the cover, it’s not who you are, and you can’t keep it up forever. Show everyone how amazing you really are, and the followers will come. Really, at the end of the day, the amount of followers you have does not tell the type of person you are. You are more than just a number.

Consider Your Audience

Unfortunately, you probably won’t appeal to everyone on the internet. A single bachelor isn’t interested in watching a video on cooking a meal for a family of five. Unless, of course, he’s a linebacker in the NFL. You want to think of your target audience and speak to them as you create your videos. Who will want to watch you?

If you’re a single mother, discuss the best ways to cook meals when you’re the only cook in the house. In addition, mention how many kids you have. I’m a sucker for fellow moms of three. I love connecting with other moms who are going through similar situations as myself. Moms love to see themselves in another person’s shoes, especially if they are a really nice pair.

Be Patient

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was your list of followers on YouTube. While this one may be hard for some, you must be patient when building your YouTube channel. Some of those on my list of the best mom YouTube channels have been doing this for several years. You need to understand you probably won’t become an overnight sensation. I’m sorry to burst your bubble.

However, the more work you put into it, the more you will get out of it. Don’t forget to promote your new channel on social media sites like Facebook and Instagram. Social Media is one of the fastest ways to promote a new business or venture. Once you have your channel set up, send it out to family and friends. You know they will be your first fans.

Keep it Short and Sweet

At least when you are starting, you don’t want your videos to be too long. If I’m new to a site, I might watch for 30 seconds. However, once I’m familiar with the channel, I’m hooked and will watch the full video. It’s best to have shorter videos as an introduction as you continue to build your followers

You want people to want more from you. If you start with longer videos, you will lose the interest of others quickly. You are competing with millions of people on YouTube, and viewers don’t have time to watch the entire videos on every channel they find.

Finally, once you notice an uptick in followers, add a little time to your videos. You obviously are doing something right, and this way, you can test the waters to see exactly what your followers want to hear from you. In general, videos shouldn’t be more than a few minutes long. You don’t need to show every single bit of a recipe you are showing off. No one needs to see bread rise.

Find Your Inspiration

Perhaps I already did this for you with the above list, but find who inspires you, and don’t be afraid to reach out to them for advice. While they may not want to give away all their success secrets, they may provide you with some great insight on how to be successful.

On the same note, don’t compare yourself to other YouTubers. Everyone is successful for their own reason, and if you only focus on why you aren’t like them, you likely are just setting yourself up for failure. Also, moms should never compare themselves to other moms. We are all losing our minds; some hide it better.

While watching the videos of your inspiration, see what they do differently. Do they have amazing lighting? Do they speak eloquently? Take notes on why you think their list of followers continues to grow. You certainly don’t want to copy someone else, but understanding what makes someone successful can help guide you on your way.

Final Thoughts

The best mom YouTube channels give you a chance to peek into the life of other mothers for useful hacks, helpful recipes, and some good old-fashioned mom jokes. Sometimes it’s nice to get a glimpse of someone else’s life and how they handle it all. It gives us some good insight and, perhaps, makes us feel better about our crazy lives with our own families.

I will say, do your best not to compare yourself to any of these moms. They aren’t doing it to impress you; they are doing it to help you. So, sit back, click subscribe, and enjoy what other mothers have to say about this wonderful life we call motherhood. Who knows, maybe one day the person you are watching today will be subscribing to your channel.

Kelly O'Lone

I am a stay-at-home mom with three little ones, ages 6, 5 and 3. They certainly keep me on my toes for the majority of the day. My favorite way to parent is through humor and making my kids laugh. In my spare time, I enjoy writing about my parenting experiences and finding DIY projects around the house.
