PinkBlush Maternity Fitted Lace Dress

PinkBlush Maternity Dresses Review – My Favorite Picks

by Sarah Stockett |

When I was pregnant with my first child, I only needed a handful of maternity pieces. Pregnancy with the second child was a completely different story. From the very beginning, he tunneled so far forward that I’m surprised I never had an Alien moment with him just spontaneously jumping out of me. This child, this watermelon of a baby, demanded I have a whole new wardrobe.

At the time, this was horrible news. Although online stores were in full swing, they didn’t tend to offer quality maternity clothes. Instead, you had to go to maternity specialty stores.

I’m pleased to announce, though, that the times have changed. Buying a new maternity wardrobe is easier than ever! Today, I’m reviewing PinkBlush Maternity and some of my favorite pieces.

The Formal Dress

It seems like with every pregnancy, there arises the need to a fancy dress. Finding a fancy dress that is both flattering an appropriate can feel nearly impossible when you’re pregnant. That’s why I’m so smitten with the PinkBlush Maternity Fitted Lace Dress!

What I Love:

  • It’s lace. This is fantastic because lace is normally both elegant and stretchy, which is essential for a pregnant woman. Rest assured, if this dress fits you a week before your event, it will still fit you when you need it. Not all dresses can say the same.
  • It’s double lined to prevent sheerness. Even the sleeves are lined, so your skin isn’t directly visible beneath the dress.
  • It comes in two colors. Choose from either black or burgundy.

Possible Issues:

  • The dress tends to run small. Please consult the size chart to choose the dress size that’s best for you.
  • It could be too long for shorter women. Of course, it all depends on the length that you’re comfortable with so, for some shorter women, a little bit of extra skirt might not be too big of a problem.
  • It’s always possible that you could receive a garment with a manufacturer’s flaw. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it is a possibility.

The Multi-Purpose Dress

PinkBlush Maternity Draped Maternity/Nursing Maxi Dress

As if trading in your clothes for a maternity wardrobe isn’t costly enough, after the baby comes, you will need to buy nursing tops if you choose to breastfeed. Part of why the PinkBlush Maternity Draped Maternity/Nursing Maxi Dress is so amazing is because it serves a dual purpose–it can be worn whether you’re pregnant or nursing.

What I Love:

  • Multi-purpose means more use. When you buy a maternity dress or top that also works for nursing, that’s one less item that you need to buy for your new post-baby wardrobe.
  • Flattering fit. The high-waisted maxi dress is a popular option for many women, particularly for those who need a little extra room in the waist. Whether you’re pregnant or looking for a flattering post-pregnancy dress, this style should work.
  • It comes in four colors. Choose from charcoal grey, burgundy, purple, or pink (as pictured above).

Possible Issues:

  • It might be too long for shorter women. The dress measures 55.5″ from the high point of the shoulder to the hem. Depending on your height, this could be too long.
  • The fabric is thin. This means that the dress will have a super-soft, pajama-like feel. However, you might notice a visible bra or panty line.
  • It’s always possible that you could receive a garment with a manufacturer’s flaw. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it is a possibility.

The Jeans

PinkBlush Maternity Stretch Skinny Jeans

A good pair of maternity jeans is an essential item. You want to be comfortable but also look stylish. With PinkBlush Maternity Stretch Skinny Jeans, you’ll look good and feel comfy.

What I Love:

  • Very stylish. These jeans are so cute, and they look sharp.
  • Stretchy means comfortable. Because these jeans are made with stretchy materials, they will feel comfortable as you move and grow. Specifically, the jeans are 51% cotton, 24% modal, 23% polyester, and 2% Spandex.

Possible Issues:

  • These jeans are sized. This means that, as you grow, your size will change. Unfortunately, while these jeans may work for some portions of your pregnancy, they may need to be replaced for a larger size at some point. Make sure to check out the size chart to pick the jean size that will best suit you.
  • Depending on how tall you are, these jeans might be long. Even on the manufacturer’s picture, the fabric is sort of bunched up around the ankle. This fit might be a little annoying, particularly for shorter women.
  • It’s always possible that you could receive a garment with a manufacturer’s flaw. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it is a possibility.

The Short Sleeve Tee

Being pregnant is like wearing your own heater. Even in winter, it’s a good idea to have several quality maternity tee shirts on hand. My choice is the PinkBlush Maternity Basic Short Sleeve Tee.

What I Love:

  • It’s fitted but stretchy. Because this shirt is made of modal and Spandex, it can be fitted and still be stretchy to expand as you grow.
  • It comes in two colors. Choose between black or grey.
  • It’s very reasonably priced. Maternity clothes can be expensive, so it’s always nice when you find a deal.

Possible Issues:

  • The scoop neckline could be too low. Because this shirt has a scoop neckline, it’s always possible that you could think the scoop comes down too low.
  • It’s always possible that you could receive a garment with a manufacturer’s flaw. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it is a possibility.

The Multi-Purpose Long Sleeve Shirt

I love multi-purpose maternity/nursing tops and dresses. These are a wonderful way to save some money by reducing the amount of clothing you need to buy. For a great long sleeve dual-purpose top, I choose PinkBlush Maternity Long Sleeve Maternity/Nursing Top.

What I Love:

  • It’s a maternity/nursing top. I love any shirt or dress that can work as a maternity or a nursing garment. This saves you money and time.
  • It’s soft. Softness matters to me. I place a high value on soft clothes, particularly when I’m uncomfortable (like while being pregnant or nursing).
  • It comes in two colors. Choose from grey or red.

Possible Issues:

  • It might run a little small. To ensure that you choose a shirt with the best fit, make sure to follow the instructions for sizing. If you’re on the edge, size up just to be sure.
  • It’s always possible that you could receive a garment with a manufacturer’s flaw. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it is a possibility.

The Cardigan

PinkBlush Maternity Cardigan

Even though you’re wearing a tiny furnace, when winter rolls around, you’ll want to have a fabulous maternity sweater to keep you warm. I recommend the PinkBlush Maternity Cardigan

What I Love:

  • It’s stunning. This sweater is so stylish and fitted that it’s just lovely!
  • Perfect for layering with tee shirts or tank tops. This sweater is relatively stretchy and thin, so use it with tees and tanks.
  • It’s a multi-use piece. You can use this sweater during pregnancy and afterwards. Because of the flattering draping in the front, no one will know that it’s a maternity sweater.

Possible Issues:

  • It doesn’t have pockets. There are several other cardigan styles by PinkBlush that have pockets, but this one doesn’t have any. However, the absence of pockets means a sleeker, trimmed down look.
  • You may not like brown. Right now, brown is the only color available for this cardigan. If you’re not a fan of brown, this could be a real problem for you.
  • This is a lightweight sweater. If you’re looking for a thick sweater, this is not the sweater for you.
  • It’s always possible that you could receive a garment with a manufacturer’s flaw. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it is a possibility.

My Recommendation

I wish I would have found PinkBlush Maternity when I was pregnant with my kids. They seem like a great company with quality clothes, and a reputation for being soft and stylish. In particular, I wish I would have found them for my second pregnancy.

As my baby tunneled forward, I quickly outgrew my maternity shirts that I accumulated with the first pregnancy. Because I didn’t live by any clothing stores that offered anything beyond the XL clothes that we outgrew, I was stuck with a sometimes visible belly. I truly had no idea what to do or where to go to cover this watermelon of a child.

Now, though, stores like PinkBlush Maternity are online and offer a variety of sizes. Although I didn’t share any of their plus size maternity pieces, they are available. Whether you’re needing pajamas, daily wear, or work apparel; PinkBlush Maternity has you covered.
