Travel systems have excellent benefits. Infants often fall asleep in their car seat which offers the predicament of wanting to leave the car but also not wanting to wake your infant. A travel system is a stroller and a car seat that can be attached to the stroller. With a travel system, you can lift the car seat out of the car and attach it to the stroller without ever waking your baby. You can easily push your child around in their car seat while you go shopping or go for a walk in the park. Many travel systems offer unique features however there are some that are more user-friendly. While both the travel systems Chicco Bravo Trio and the Britax B Agile and B Safe 35 Travel System offer a stroller with a matching car seat, which set is easier to use? I prefer the Britax B Agile because it offers more safety and is more user-friendly. Let’s explore these travel systems and see what unique features each one offers.

Chicco Bravo Trio Travel System
This Chicco travel system comes with the Chicco Bravo stroller and the Chicco KeyFit 30 infant car seat.
- Stroller: 6 – 50 pounds
- Car Seat: 4-30 pounds
- Easy Fold
Car Seat Pros
- Accurate Installation
- Easy Installation
- Newborn Insert
- Separate Purchase
- Plastic Wheels
Car Seat Cons
- Low Weight Capacity
- Fabric Rubs Off
This stroller offers a large and spacious basket located beneath the seat which can be accessed from the front or rear. It also offers a convenient parent tray which offers a storage area and two cup holders. This means that you can bring all your belongings with you when you go for a walk in the park. You can also take the stroller shopping and store your bags in the basket.
A cushioned handle adjusts to different heights so parents of various heights can comfortably push the stroller without having to bend over or strain. A multi-position reclining seat offers your child a comfortable seat that can be laid back if they need a nap.
This stroller has an easy fold that can be done with one hand. It also stands independently when in the compact fold. This simple fold is convenient when you are holding your baby with the other hand. The fact that it stands independently means that it won’t fall over in the parking lot and get dirty.
Car Seat Pros
A level indicator and multi-position recline give you the tools you need to make sure the car seat is installed at the proper angle.
SuperCinch one-pull latch tightener gives you an easier installation. Force multiplying technology makes installation tight and secure with only a fraction of the effort. This is a great feature as many car seats are not installed properly which can be deadly. Having a unique installation method means that you will get a secure fit with an accurate installation.
A cushioned newborn insert is available for babies 4-11 pounds. This soft padding can give your newborn body and head support. When your baby outgrows the insert, it can be removed.
While the stroller does fold with one hand, it is a rather bulky fold. When folded, this stroller may not fit well in the trunk of a car. It may also be difficult to move or store.
A child’s tray for toys, snacks or drinks is only available as a separate purchase. For the expense of this travel system, a child’s tray and cup holders should be included with the initial purchase.
The wheels on this stroller are made of plastic instead of rubber tread. This stroller may not function well on various terrains. The wheels may also wear out easily due to the plastic.
Car Seat Cons
Low Weight Capacity
The car seat can only hold 30 pounds which means you will have to find a replacement car seat sooner and you will get less use out of it.
Fabric Rubs Off
Some users have found that their child’s clothes have had marks from the color rubbing off. Some also found that their child was sweaty while in the car seat. It is unclear if these two situations are related however having fabric that rubs off on clothes can be a big mess and a sweaty ride can be uncomfortable for your child.

Britax B Agile Travel System
This travel system comes with the Britax B Agile stroller and the B Safe 35 infant car seat.
- Stroller: Birth – 55 pounds
- Car Seat: 4-35 pounds
- Three Wheels
- Simple Fold
Car Seat Pros
- Easier LATCH
- Safety Features
- Limited Back Support
- Limited Storage
Car Seat Cons
- Easy to Outgrow
This Britax stroller has three wheels which makes it easier to maneuver around corners or tight spots. The swiveling front wheel gives you control of the steering and the locked-in-place rear wheels give you stability and support.
Weighing only 18 pounds, this aluminum framed stroller is lightweight and can easily be carried or stored.
With one hand, you can fold this stroller by pulling a strap in the seat. This makes it convenient when you’re holding your infant but you need to fold the stroller. This stroller also has a compact fold so it can fit in the trunk of most cars.
Car Seat Pros
The worst thing about the LATCH system is pulling the straps and this car seat includes a base that has center pulling straps. To tighten the belt, all you have to do is pull the straps from the middle of the base. Because this LATCH belt is easier to use, it will most likely be installed correctly while the traditional and more difficult system may result in improper installation.
At 17.75 inches, this car seat is narrow and would work well in smaller vehicles or in a row with other car seats.
This car seat includes the Britax Safe Cell Impact Protection which is an integrated system of safety measures. These measures are:
- Steel Frame
- Compressing Base
- Deep Shell
- Energy Absorbing Foam
The steel frame gives the car seat a strong frame which can withstand a crash and protect the baby. The compressing base absorbs energy and the honeycomb structure compresses upon impact which reduces the energy of the impact. The deep shell of the car seat allows your child to sit further in the seat which offers them more protection. The seat is lined with EPS Energy Absorbing Foam which will protect your child in the event of a car accident.
Limited Back Support
The back support of the stroller is thin and has limited support so your child may be uncomfortable in the seat. Some users also found that the seat was too reclined and would not sit up straight. When you’re using a stroller, you want your child to be comfortable and this seat may be a bit uncomfortable.
The basket beneath the seat is a bit small and there is not a parent tray which limits the storage. For the expense of this stroller, the basket should be large and there should be a parent tray as well as two cup holders. Limited storage means you may not have a place to put your sunglasses, phone or purse.
Car Seat Cons
Easy to Outgrow
The car seat is narrow so it is also smaller than other seats and if you have a big baby, they may outgrow the seat sooner than a wider seat. The weight limit of the seat is 35 pounds so heavier babies can continue to use the seat, however, babies that are wider may outgrow the seat.

Ease of Use Ratings
Car seats sold in the United States are safe. They meet or exceed federal safety standards. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) rates each car seat on Ease of Use because injury is more likely to be caused by improper installation and usage than by the seats themselves.
The Britax B-Safe 35 Rear-facing received an overall rating of 5 stars.
Chico Bravo Trio
4 out of 5 stars – Target
4.7 out of 5 stars – Allbeebaby
Britax B Agile
4.3 out of 5 stars – Target
5 out of 5 stars – PishPoshBaby
When purchasing a car seat, safety should always be the top priority above all else. While you may desire an inexpensive seat or a seat that is more user-friendly, it is import to also always take into consideration the safety features of the car seat. Some car seats only offer basic safety measures while others go above and beyond. An excellent example of this is the Britax B-Safe car seat that is sold in the Britax B Agile Travel System. This car seat goes above and beyond typical safety measures. While each product is being judged on how user-friendly they are, they are also being judged for safety as that is always the number one priority when choosing a car seat.
While both the Britax B Agile and the Chico Bravo offer two great travel systems, I have to say that I prefer the Britax B Agile. It includes a one-handed fold for the stroller and an easier to use LATCH belt. It also includes the Britax Safe Cell Protection system which gives the car seat even more safety. While both travel systems are great, I find the Britax B Agile to be more user-friendly.
