Notable Features

One-Hand Fold

As a mom, I get more excited than I should when I see products that function well with just one hand.  I always say to myself, “An experienced mom had to design this.”  You know it is so hard to open a stroller with both hands while also watch your little one.  I will always pick a stroller that has a one-hand fold option over one with a more complicated folding system.  It not only folds easily but will also open back up nicely.  It is not only a one-hand fold but also a compact fold.  Britax says that this is “our smallest fold yet” which so helpful for your family!

Hands-Free Carrying Strap

I love when brands can discover helpful additions to their products that actually help out parents.  This stroller’s folding mechanism is smart and offers you a carry strap which makes it a light, foldable, and portable package that can be easily moved without breaking your back.  Actually, the bumper bar conveniently doubles as a handle for carrying the stroller on your shoulder when it is folded up.  This shoulder strap gives you the spare hands you will certainly need to take care of your little one or even carry him or her.

Reclining Seat

It is so helpful to have a reclining seat in a stroller so that your baby or toddler can sleep.  Many lightweight strollers lack this feature.  The Britax B-Mobile seat offers a deep recline but will not go all the way to completely flat.  You can recline the seat with just one head but to return it to fully upright, you will need to use both hands.  For safety, it is equipped with a five-point harness and belly bar.  The seat is vented on top for air circulation but it can be zipped closed when too cold or windy.   Keep in mind the interior seat width is 13 inches.

Mesh Windows

The seat is equipped with side mesh windows which helps to provide nice air-flow which is great for the warmer months.  Not many strollers feature the side vents that the B-Mobile has.  It is nice to know that your baby won’t get too hot, sweaty, or even overheated with the different mesh windows.

Adjustable Leg Rest

Additionally, there is an adjustable calf/leg rest on this seat. You pull up on both sides of the leg rest until it is in the desired position.  Then you will hear a click and the leg rest will stay in the desired position. You can push the buttons on each side under the leg rest while also pushing leg rest down in order to lower it.

The brightly colored canopy provides the needed extra protection for your child on sunny or rainy days.  It is sufficient in size in proportion to the stroller and comes with a flip-forward visor.  It provides the shade needed for a cozy nap and will keep your little one dry if you get caught in a rain shower.  You can retract the sunshade as needed.

Storage Basket

The storage basket is located under the seat and it large enough to hold a medium-sized diaper bag.  It is proportional to the size of the stroller but not large enough several bags.  It is sufficient for a purse and some baby supplies while out and about around the city, for a walk, or traveling through an airport.

Parents have mentioned that the access is to the storage basket is quite limited because of the X crossbar design.  Keep in mind that you will have access to your smaller stored items like a diaper or water bottle from the back and sides. If you want to have access to something like your purse or diaper bag, you will need to go through the front and lift the calf rest.  This can get a little tricky if your little one is sleeping.  Overall, the storage basket is a helpful feature for parents who are on the go with their kiddos.

The Britax Brand

The Britax brand is known for safety, simplicity, and high quality.  The style of this brand is also sleek, classic, and easy to spot.  Britax designs and manufactures various types of car seats and strollers. They are highly respected among the baby gear community.

They are mostly concerned with safety as well as enabling families to live a life without limitations.  According to Britax, “We’ve been leading the way in child safety technology for more than 70 years.  Always innovating, always focusing on what’s best for the child, always going beyond ‘good enough’. From Europe’s best-selling car seat brand, we’ve become one of the brands most trusted by American families since we launched here in 1996.”

What Does a Real Mom Think?

For starters, the shoulder strap on the Britax B-Mobile is genius! It is my favorite feature on this stroller.  You can simply collapse the stroller and carry it on your shoulder.  This stroller is lightweight at around sixteen pounds and is a conveniently portable version in the Britax collection of strollers.

While being compact and not too heavy, it also has notable features that are often found on bulkier versions like a flip-forward visor, reclining seat, adjustable leg rest, and the hands-free carry strap for portability.

If you already have a Britax or BOB infant car seat, this specific stroller is compatible and can be combined for a travel system to keep your family on the go.  You simply click the car seat into the stroller frame.  Keep in mind that there aren’t adapters for other car seat brands.

It is nice that while being lightweight, it is also hefty enough to hold a child up to fifty-five pounds.  This means you can use with an infant car seat and also get quite a few years of use out of it as your child grows.

The design of the Britax B-Mobile is best suited for surfaces like sidewalks, pavement, or most all flat surfaces.  But, some parents said it did well on hikes and walks in the park.  The front wheels can lock or swivel depending on the terrain.  The wheels are small and it might get a little tricky on thicker grass or gravel.  You know it will do well on flat, hard surfaces but it does okay on groomed grass.

The compact design is great for places like city streets, airports, or out shopping and perfect for storing in the trunk of your vehicle.  Honestly, it takes up very little room which is great when trying to keep your stroller with you while also needing to get groceries or travel with bags.

I love that it goes in a perfect circle and the classic nature of the black color that is perfectly gender neutral for all your babies!

Final Thoughts

If your family is looking for a sleek, classic looking lightweight stroller, the Britax B-Mobile will likely fit the bill.

The best things about this stroller version are the compact size, the portability with the included strap, and one-hand fold mechanism.

If you need a hands-free carry stroller, this is it!  Your hands will be completely freed up to take care of your little one while moving your stroller to storage, walking through the park, or back to your car.

Don’t forget that even though this is a lighter weight stroller than some of the other ones made by Britax, it is travel system ready with the included car seat adapters.

In my opinion, the drawbacks here are to expected from a lightweight stroller. They do not outweigh the positive aspects of the stroller at all!

You can easily wheel through the crowds in airports or busy city streets with no problem and then store it without the hassle of a larger, bulkier stroller.  As one mom mentioned, “I love how compact this stroller is. It has a simple motion fold and it also only takes up a quarter of the space that normal size strollers use. It reclines far enough that my baby is comfortable enough to nap in it and the hood is so great for protecting him from the sun.  I’ve already recommended this exact stroller to a friend of mine.”

Many families have loved this Britax B-Mobile stroller for their little ones and I hope you will too!
